RAPCZYNSKI RESIGNS AFTER TWO SEASONS AS GARNET VALLEY COACH

Joe Rapczynski told the Daily Times he has stepped down as Garnet Valley's head coach, citing time restraints created by his position as a teacher at Brandywine (Del.) High School as a primary reason.

Garnet Valley posted 1-21 records in each of Rapczynski's seasons.

However, under Rapczynski, the Jaguars' program made concerted efforts to dedicate to the freshman and junior-varsity levels. Rapczynski refused to take younger players from lower levels of the program if it meant stunting their development.

With that mindset, the JV program improved its record by eight wins from last season to this season, and the freshman team posted 25 wins in the last two years.

Read more about Rapczynski in Saturday's Daily Times.
