IT'S OFFICIAL: THE COMCAST NETWORK WILL AIR CHESTER AT PENN WOOD JAN. 17

Well, it's official.

What we at Delco Hoops reported late last week has been verified: The Comcast Network will televise Chester at Penn Wood Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m.

The game kicks off a nine-game television contract by The Comcast Network.

Chester at Penn Wood is by far the best game of the season to this point. Of course, that could change when Penn Wood visits Chester, but that's a topic for later.

"My concern about this game being on television is that my only concern is we play well against Chester," Penn Wood coach Clyde Jones said by phone Thursday night. "I think (the cameras being) there will make my kids pay a lot more attention to what the coaches are saying because they'll realize their mistakes are going out to a TV audience, too."

If you're planning on attending the game, well, good luck. I'm told fewer than 300 tickets will be available for the game and, as Jones put it, "you better get there by 5:15 if you want a seat."

There you have it.
